Completed My Outstanding Projects Last Weekend

2 more teddy bears to my beading group mates (SY & DT) for their birthday. It is so so difficult to keep secrets - Teddy Bears as birthday gift to my beading mates (except to EP who has been with me since the embarkment of this teddy bear mission ... must share the joy & woes with someone. Else will easily get internal injuries ;p .....hee hee ....)

I would love to keep the bears (really as a surprise) till SY's birthday .... but I think I shall not wait further cos last week DT suddenly asked me which book for the instruction !! I got worried and keep discouraging her from making it (hee hee ....) ... Told myself I better complete the bears and give out soon ;p ....

These bears are really adorable, I'm going to make one for myself and ... my younger sis has also asked me to make it into a bag charm (like the LeSport's Tokidoki bear) for her !!!

The other outstanding project is the 观世音娃娃 which I've not complete few weeks ago. Managed to complete the doll yesterday. But I will need to re-do .... without the hands that comes with the doll head cos it looked so un-proportional as well as the positioning of the hands =( ...... Plus plus ... must make the lotus stand to make the doll looks taller ..... Nevertheless, the doll still looks so sweet =D

Revised Look of My 1st Dress

My NaNa dress looked boring. With SY & EP advises, I have added a belt. EP has earlier suggested to add a red flower. Unfortunately, the pkt of flowers I've bought are without holes !!

Teddy For EP

Since it is not a secret to EP that I'm making a teddy bear for her birthday, think it is ok for me to share my joy and obstacles in making this teddy; which I've completed it last night ;p

Besides completing the NaNa dress during last weekend, the teddy bear is my 2nd accomplishment.

Phew !! Don't think after making 1 for SN, I have experienced & know all "tricks" in successfully making a teddy. For the head itself, I've re-do it abt 4 times..... always seems to have missed out some steps ;< As for the hands & legs, this round I make it a point to note down which bead for which direction, so it is lots more smoother in completing the other halves. Hope my next few bears will be a simpler task ;p

My 1st Handmade Dress

I have wanted to make a gold dress. But M&M don't sell 2.5mm gold beads. So, I have used 2.5 light black diamond bicones (6 packs x 72) with 3mm & 4mm gold bicones to make this dress (which EP encouraged the beading group to startoff with this pattern 1st as it is the simplest). True enough, i've completed it within the day.

I've tried using needle but after few attempts, I've given up....difficult to follow the instruction. Also I felt the skirt shldn't be looking soft. Thus, the original approach of using the "fish thread" was adopted.

Tell u, 1 common joke from my parents ....why no head !!!
