Beaded Cone

It is very very nice of Glitters with Perfume who has specially made this beaded cone for me =p. I'm so paiseh cos, she is so unhesitant to my request to make such a complicated cone uniquely for me; over such a short period, cum the color combination is one of my favorite 2 !! She is very very "Paste Heart" (translate it in chinese) hor ?

After some thoughts, I've decided to make a red necklace to complement the cone. Glitters has suggested using rubies but I've run out of them. Otherwise, it will be a great combination.

My initial design for the beaded cone is to wear it as a pendant (vertically) with the 3 stranded coral chips. But think it is more suitable to go with single strand necklace. Hence, I've re-design the necklace using flat round corals, rhodochrosites and ended it with a chinese "Fu" . Very oriental hor ?

Ru-Yi

the name of the central pc; sourced by my mom again =p. I've complement the jade with advanced weaving 4 x 4 necklace.

Have did a little research on this jade amulet. Following is the properties for your info too.
"The shape was derived from lotus and some even claimed it was derived from ling tzi, a special curative fungus that cures a thousand diseases. The head of the Ru Yi is also a strong resemblance of a bat which brings fortune and good luck. Ru Yi symbolizes authority and power in the imperial courts and royal assemblies. The Ru Yi was later being regarded as the sceptre for Imperial courts and offices, which was used by high ranking government officials including empresses. Ru Yi has auspicious meanings: smoothness in endeavours and enhanced luck in undertakings. The symbol is most suitably used to bring our career to greater heights and raise the bar for authority. The Ru Yi can also protect you from evil, harmful people and misfortune."

Ruby Sister

Another Ruby necklace (new member to my ruby jewelry family); my most favorite gemstone ... hee hee ... expensive taste hor ... partly also it is my birthstone. My sister commented the necklace look like an "indian gold" jewelry.
Disclaimer - Not meant to be prejudice or hinting anything racists.
Due to limited quantity of these precious gems, I have to add lots of gold fill separators to make the necklace; to bring up the color of the rubies. I like this creation; simply elegant and beautiful !! Ha ha ha ... self praise. It will be even better if I have more of the smaller rubies ... next round ... ;p

Aquamarine

I've made this aquamarine necklace last week to match an aqua ring. I've the intention to post it then. But the blog site seems to be having some problem with the photo posting interface .............. :< ...... I've took 2 photos of the necklace that night against white & black background. Surprisingly, the gemstones' colors looked different !!
PS - Likely due to my poor digital photography skills. I've wanted to show u the actual color of the aqua.

As the stones are bit yellowish in color, I've used blue-gold color based cloisonné beads to make a simple necklace which can be wore for any occasion.

Ruby v2

I've given my "Ruby" a new look. I've never thought of this combination till I chance upon a ring in a jewelry shop near office. Striking combination (Ruby + Citrine) isn't it =p ?

Zoisite

Zoisite is another favorite gem of mine. They are generally deep green in color with black (mostly) and red inclusions (those are the tiny ruby crystals). To show the beauty of these stones, I've got to show u 2 photos.

This time, I've used wiring technique to make the whole necklace !!! My first attempt. Though it wasn't nicely twisted @ each ends of the beads, I think it still can make it ;p

Green Again

is another special green piece. Special in what way ? It is a Green Garnet necklace !! Also, each gem is not polished and rawly cut. Each has it's own design, shape & identity =p ..... the necklace is slightly longer too.

Quite different from my other creations isn't it ?

Black Star

a sparkling looking Black Onyx necklace.

This piece is a bit different from my previous teardrop twisted briolettes necklaces. I've created a 2 strand ending for the necklaces and matched them with 925 sliver. Shining and nice right ?? ;p

Rainbow

a strand of mixed colored gemstones necklace which is as colorful as a rainbow made up of Peridot, Red Garnet, White Crystal, Amethyst, Citrine and Smoky Quartz !!! Hey, .... have u guessed correctly which is the 7th color ?
